2. What the service does
Dubbing Maker lets users upload video or audio files, choose a source and target language, spend prepaid dubbing minutes and download a generated dubbed output. Processing may include speech separation, transcription, translation, voice generation, audio/video mixing and temporary file storage.
3. Information we collect
We collect the information needed to operate the service:
- Account information: email address, authentication provider identifiers and login/session metadata.
- Purchase information: purchased minute packages, order identifiers, refund records and minute balance history.
- Uploaded content: video or audio files you upload for dubbing.
- Generated content: intermediate processing files and final dubbed outputs.
- Job metadata: file name, file size, duration estimate, selected languages, status, progress, timestamps, errors and download metadata.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, request logs and diagnostic logs needed for security, debugging and abuse prevention.
- Support communications: messages and information you send when asking for support.
Payment card numbers are not collected or stored by Dubbing Maker. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account;
- authenticate you and protect your session;
- calculate required dubbing minutes and reserve or charge minute balances;
- process your uploaded files and create dubbed outputs;
- show job status, progress, errors and download links;
- process purchases, refunds and payment webhooks;
- prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and excessive automated use;
- debug failures and improve reliability and quality;
- respond to support requests and legal obligations.
5. Uploaded files and retention
Uploaded files and generated outputs can contain personal data, voices, faces, names, copyrighted works or other sensitive information depending on what you upload. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process the content.
Our intended production retention model is:
- input files are deleted after processing when technically practical;
- failed or cancelled job files may be deleted sooner;
- generated outputs are kept only for a limited download window, typically up to 24 hours unless we state otherwise;
- job metadata, order records, minute ledger records and logs may be kept longer for accounting, security, dispute handling and service operation.
Temporary processing files may exist during a job and for a short time afterward while systems finish uploads, downloads, retries or cleanup tasks.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the dubbing service, account, purchases, minute balance and downloads.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, debug failures, improve reliability and maintain business records.
- Legal obligation: to comply with accounting, tax, fraud prevention, payment and regulatory requirements.
- Consent: where a specific optional feature or communication requires consent.
7. Service providers and subprocessors
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Dubbing Maker. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us and are used for functions such as:
- Hosting, networking and security: serving the website and API, protecting the service, routing traffic and keeping operational logs.
- Authentication: managing login sessions, magic links, social sign-in and authentication tokens.
- File storage: temporarily storing uploaded source files, generated outputs and processing artifacts.
- Payment and tax processing: checkout, payments, invoices, taxes, refunds, fraud checks and payment notifications.
- Compute infrastructure: running media processing and dubbing jobs.
- Speech and language processing: transcription, translation, speech generation and related text/audio processing needed to create dubbed outputs.
- Analytics and diagnostics: understanding service health, debugging failures and improving reliability.
Some providers may process data in countries outside your own. We rely on contractual, security and transfer mechanisms where required by law. We may update our provider mix over time as the service evolves.
8. Payments
When you buy dubbing minutes, payment details are entered in Lemon Squeezy's checkout. We receive order status, package, amount, currency, tax/refund status and identifiers needed to credit or refund your account. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
9. Cookies and local storage
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage or similar browser technologies for login sessions, security, checkout, user preferences and basic site operation. Disabling these technologies may prevent login, checkout or file processing from working correctly.
10. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including HTTPS, signed callbacks, short-lived download tickets, access controls and limited retention of media files. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can request account deletion or data access by contacting support@dubbingmaker.com.
We may need to keep certain records where required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance.
12. Children's privacy
Dubbing Maker is not intended for children under 16. Do not use the service if you are not old enough to form a binding agreement or if use is not permitted by the laws of your country.
13. Changes to this policy
